Theewater Sports Club has officially entered the 2026 Lipton Challenge, bringing a highly experienced campaign to this year’s contest.
Led by skipper Jimmy Jacka, alongside Tony Largier and Steve Raubenheimer, the team combines almost 200 years of sailing experience and eleven previous Lipton Challenge campaigns between them.
Well known for their success racing together on the Farr 38 Jackal, the crew has built an impressive record on Table Bay. With the recent purchase of their own J22, the team has spent the past year refining their one-design skills in preparation for the Lipton Challenge.
Bringing experience and an intimate knowledge of Table Bay, Theewater Sports Club will undoubtedly be one of the more seasoned teams on the start line this August.Â
