This seasoned team has been sailing together for the past five years, making them a major threat on the 2025 starting line.
Dirk Manten (Skipper) brings over 24 years of experience in the J22 class, with multiple provincial and national titles to his name, along with appearances at two J22 World Championships. Making him one of the most experienced J22 helms.
Nico Kroucamp (Trimmer) has spent the last five years racing both J22s and L26s, collecting numerous regional and national wins, and proving to be a reliable powerhouse in the middle of the boat.
JJ van Niekerk (Bow) is a Lipton veteran with various campaigns under his belt and has sailed alongside Dirk for over two decades. His steady hand on the sharp end is a key part of this champion crew’s success.
As the current J22 title-holders, Seal Point Yacht Club enters this year’s Lipton Cup with confidence, chemistry, and a winning mindset. Expect to see them charging hard.
